Sorry for writing in english, but I'm not so good at german.

I have a DC-5300 that I bought in late 2003 with firmware 0.25... I would like to know which firmware I can update it with - where can I find it and how do I install it? verwirt

To update this camera firmware, you will need to have
1. The firmware File .
2. One SD card.
3. One card reader.

Please follow the steps below to perform the update process:
1. Prepare a formatted and empty SD card.
2. Insert a SD card to the card reader. Copy the firmware file (file name should be "dcj01.bin"(dcj01x.bin for Sharp CCD)) into the SD card. Make sure the new firmware file is copied to the SD card.
3. Insert the SD card into the camera.
4. Plug in the AC adapter into the camera.
5. PRESS "UP" & "Power" button at the same time then wait for update process
6. When LED is green blink, it mean update ok.
7. Reformat the SD card if you want to use it again.

Note: Don’t remove the power source during firmware update procedures.

Premier will not be responsible to any damage caused by end-users while updating firmware by themselves. Always come to Premier’s service center for processing the updating.

Hi!

You can find the matching firmware for your camera here.

You install it this way:

1. Youe need am formatted SD-Card (please make sure the card was formatted in the camera, NOT by using Windows!)
2. Copy the firmware to the SD-Card
3. Turn on your camera by pressing an holding the "On-Button" and the "UP-Button" at the same time
4. When the green LED begins flashing, the update was sucsessfull

If you like to test the firmware first, turn on your camera by pressing an holding the "On-Button" and the "DOWN-Button" at the same time. This will only load the firmware into the RAM, not the ROM, so when you start your camera the next time in "normal-mode" (just by pressing the "on-button"), the camera will start with the pre-installed firmaware.

ja, doppelt hält besser.......ab ich muß zugeben, Mc`s Erklärung war besser!

It's ok but i was now what is happening when I Test my firmware but my Cam not load on ram but start whit pre-instal firmware (i looking test 1.21 and my original firmware was 0.25 now I have 1.04)

Do you now what firmware was eliminated 30 sec. limit on Cam. ?? I was haven't this limited.
